Why to never feed Grain Free!!
We take great pride in our dogs and only feed them the best with Purina non grain free! Please research your foods and NEVER feed a Grain Free Diet to your fur babies! Grain Free foods have ingredients such as Peas and Legumes that block the Taurine dogs need to keep their hearts healthy! This is showing to be the cause of Nutritional DCM in multiple breeds where DCM has never been seen! We only recommend Purina, Iams/Eukanuba, Science diet and Royal Canine. These brands have all met the WSAVA standards in testing. *Adding Taurine to your dogs Grain Free diet will NOT help your furry friend! Remember it BLOCKS the absorption of Taurine!* Remember your dog may seem fine..until they're not.
Steps to fix Knuckling in your Puppy!
Nutrition plays a big part in how your puppy develops! If your puppy is knuckling consider starting them on this easy fix!
1. TAKE YOUR PUPPY OFF PUPPY FOOD! TAKE YOUR PUPPY OFF OF HIGH PROTEIN HIGH CALCIUM/PHOSPHORUS FOOD!
2. Switch foods IMMEDIATELY to the most basic of foods. I suggest Purina Dog Chow, Pedigree or Nutro Wholesome Essentials Adult Dry Food Chicken & Brown Rice. They are low in protein, their calcium/phosphorus levels are a 1:1 ratio, and it will slow the speedy growth that is causing your puppies knuckling.
3. Put your puppy on 2000mg of vitamin C daily for the duration of your dogs bone growth (2 years old). Vitamin C CAN cause runny stool on occasion for sensitive bellies! If this should happen don't give up! Add a probiotic and change down to 500mg and work your way up to 2000mg within a few days. Vitamin C combined with the basic dog food should do wonders in straightening out any issues that have begun developing in your babies legs! This will NOT cure Pano BUT it can certainly help! Most vets do not know about Vitamin C!! Knuckling is NOT painful SO, if your puppy is crying in pain or acting like its just too much to get up and romp and play you may consider making sure HOD or Pano have not started developing! But i would still follow this protocol myself. I personally use a basic brand of vitamin C for people from Walmart.
